Mr. Driscoll

So we just got back from a long weekend in Matt's hometown...Idaho Falls, ID. Matt and I spent almost all of our time in the car to and from Idaho Falls (8 hours each way) listening to Mark Driscoll from Mars Hill Church. A while back we listened to his series on spiritual warfare and it really made both of us think and spurred on some great conversation. Normally I would go nuts listening to five hours of sermons from one dude, but this guy seems to capture my attention for some reason.

I don't agree with everything he says, but I definitely think he's an amazing teacher.

Yesterday we listened to Mark's series on Song of Songs, and we both grew so much during our eight hour car ride home. We kept pausing the message to talk about our own marriage and how the teaching applied to our lives. It was so cool to see God use that car ride to strengthen our marriage....and all day today I've been thinking about how lucky I am to be married to my husband. :) If you want to check out the series, it's totally worthwhile.
