V-Day

Just got done with a first grade Valentine's Day party - crazy, but so fun.

We now have a "caring tree" in our class -- the kids put kind notes on the tree that are meant for the whole class to read -- things like "this is the best class ever" and "I love everyone in this class with all my heart." I did this for my benefit more than anything - I've been putting a note on the tree every day to remind myself why I am a teacher. I want my first graders to experience the love of Jesus through me.

Anyway, Happy Valentine's Day! I hope you get to spend the day with the people you care about the most.

As for me, I will be spending the day with three other couples....in a cabin....in the middle of nowhere....
